Kanwar Dhaliwal is a litigation associate at Waddell Phillips. His developing practice encompasses complex civil and commercial litigation as well as the prosecution of class actions. Kanwar joined Waddell Phillips as an associate after completing his articles with the firm. He has gained experience across a broad spectrum of litigation matters including professional liability, employment law, human rights law, corporate accountability, and consumer protection matters.
Kanwar obtained his J.D. from Queen’s University where he was the recipient of the Queen’s Law Prize in Legal Skills for demonstrating excellence in written and oral advocacy. While at law school, he completed an intensive summer program in International Business Law at the Bader International Study Centre. Kanwar focused on access to justice and advocacy initiatives throughout law school. He was a member of the executive committee for the Queen’s Law Refugee Support Program and completed a placement working closely with Justices of the Kingston Family Court.
Prior to attending law school, Kanwar completed an honours degree in Life Sciences from McMaster University and graduated summa cum laude from York University’s Kinesiology & Health Science Program.
